Some consider it the worst movie ever made. For others, it will be a Thursday night out.
The cast of Mystery Science Theater 3000 will be broadcast into Lynnwood’s Regal Alderwood 7, mocking a camp classic as part of the nationwide event “RiffTrax Live: Plan 9 from Outer Space.”
“Plan 9 from Outer Space” is a 1959 sci-fi film so bad it has been lovingly skewered both on “Seinfeld” and in the Tim Burton movie “Ed Wood.”
The flick provides ideal fodder for the wisecrackers from RiffTrax, an online spinoff of Mystery Science Theater 3000.
The one-night-only broadcast takes place at 8 p.m. Aug. 20 at the Regal Alderwood 7, 3501 184th St. SW, Lynnwood.
Tickets are on sale now for $12.50 and can be purchased at fandango.com or by calling 800-326-3264.
