Muldaur headlines Everett waterfront music series

You will not want to send your camel to bed early on concert nights at the Everett waterfront where the rock, blues and funk will thump and where headliner acts like Maria Muldaur, songstress of 1974’s “Midnight at the Oasis,” will light up the stage.

The Thursday night waterfront concerts all begin at 6:30 p.m. at Port Gardner Landing, 1700 W. Marine View Drive, Everett.

Port Gardner Landing is also the site for Saturday evening concerts that begin at 6:30.

There will also be live music on Sunday afternoons from 2 to 4 p.m. at Port Gardner Landing.

The Thursday lineup:

Handful of Luvin’: July 15. The group plays gypsy folk, funk reggae and rock and was named by KING-TV as one of the top five best local bands.

LeRoy Bell &His Only Friends: July 22. Bell lets loose with the guitar riffs, soulful melodies and rhythm and blues.

Maria Muldaur &Her Red Hot Bluesianna Band: July 29. The renowned blues singer showcases her sultry sound.

The Saturday concert lineup:

Latin Expression: July 10. This 13-piece group plays what they call “power salsa” with rhythms from the Caribbean along with Afro-Cuban influences.

Sol’Jibe: July 17. They call their style “world pop,” combining flamenco with Latin, jazz and rock.

Eldridge Gravy and the Court Supremes: July 24. The lead singer is backed by the 10 Court Supremes to produce psychedelic funk and soul.

Bump Kitchen: July 31. These six guys produce a funk musical experience.

The Sunday lineup:

Central Services: July 11. You can hear the influences of groups including Yes and Genesis from this indie-pop band.

The Starlings: July 18. Acoustic blend of country and folk with a contemporary sound.

Kris Orlowski: July 25. Orlowski on guitar is backed by Tim Rummerfield on drums and Matt Deason on bass to produce a fusion of pop and jazz.
