Street Tunes: Through Aug. 25, make your own music on Everett’s painted pianos displayed throughout the downtown area. Artists were commissioned to decorate the pianos. Anyone is welcome to play a tune or just tickle the ivories. A location map can be found at www.everettwa.gov/824/Street-Tunes.

Al Jolson: The Everett Public Library Northwest Room’s David Dilgard commemorates the 1915 appearance at the (Historic) Everett Theatre of legendary entertainer Al Jolson in an event at 2 p.m. Aug. 22 in the library auditorium, 2702 Hoyt, Everett.

Four Centuries: A flute and piano concert by Jeffrey Cohan and Oksana Ezhokina will be performed at 8 p.m. Aug. 23, St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, 415 S. 18th St., Mount Vernon. The River Winds Band: The ensemble has moved its rehearsal and performance location to Northwest Community Church, 11715 North Creek Parkway S., Bothell. The new season begins at 7:30 p.m. Sept. 8. Swingnuts Jazz: The local jazz group plays 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Mondays, Aug. 24 and Sept. 28, at Angel of the Winds Casino, 3438 Stoluckquamish Lane, Arlington.
Pipe Organ Concert: Westminster Presbyterian Church is hosting a pipe organ concert by Halden Toy at 6 p.m. Aug. 30 at the church, 2531 Hoyt Ave., Everett. There is no admission charge for the concert but an offering will be taken after the program to assist Toy with the expenses of his university studies in organ performance.
