Snohomish County

Celebrate!: Lynnwood’s free music and dance festival is all day on July 19 at the Lynnwood Convention Center on 196th Street. More information is at www.celebratelynnwood.com Daytime activities include storytelling and arts and crafts for children. Daytime entertainment includes Irish, Mexican, Peruvian, Filipino, Chinese, Korean and hip hop dance groups, along with a big variety of music groups. Evening entertainment includes headliner band, Hey Marseilles.

The 38th annual Darrington Bluegrass Festival: July 18 through 20 at the festival’s amphitheater off Highway 530 west of Darrington. For tickets, call 360-436-1006.

Juice Newton and Medicine Hat: The concert is 7 p.m. July 19 at the Historic Everett Theatre, Colby Avenue near Hewitt, Everett. Tickets are $20 to $50. Call 425-258-6766.

Arlington Music in the Park: The city of Arlington offers free concerts 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursdays in August at Terrace Park, 809 E. Fifth St. Randy Hansen’s Jimi Hendrix tribute on Aug. 21.

Edmonds Concerts in City Park: Free, 3 to 4 p.m. Sundays at City Park, 600 Third Ave. S. Tayla Lynn and Eric Tingstad on July 27. Edmonds Concerts in Hazel Miller Plaza: Free, 5 to 6:30 p.m. Thursdays, in the plaza, Fifth and Maple. Camille Bloom on July 24.

Everett’s Music at the Waterfront: The free summer concert series is 6:30 to 8:30 Saturday evenings, 2 to 4 Sunday afternoons and 6:30 to 8:30 Thursday evenings at the Port Gardner Landing, 1700 W. Marine View Drive. More information is at www.ci.everett.wa.us. This week it’s Seattle Women’s Jazz Orcxhestra on July 19, Josh Harty’s North Dakota music on July 20 and the Dusty 45s on July 24.

Everett’s Music at the Fountain: Free music series from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesdays through Aug. 27 at Wetmore Theatre Plaza, 2710 Wetmore Ave. Wine and beer garden, food trucks on hand. On July 23, listen to WIRED!

Lake Stevens Music in the Park: Free, 7 to 8:30 p.m. various Thursdays in North Cove Park, 1812 Main St. Joachim Nodensson on July 31.

Marysville Music in the Park: Free, 7 p.m. Thursdays, Jennings Memorial Park, 6915 Armar Road. On July 24, it’s the Massy Ferguson band.

Mill Creek Town Center concerts: Free, 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesdays at the Forum, 151st and Main streets. Highway 9 plays July 23.

Monroe Concerts at Lake Tye: Free, 7 p.m. Thursdays, Lake Tye Park, 14964 Fryelands Blvd. On July 24, hear the Strangetones.

Stanwood Summer Concerts: Free, 2 to 4 p.m. various Saturdays. On Aug 9, it’s Brian Lee &the Orbiters, 270th Street Block Party, west Stanwood.

Mount Vernon

Albert Lee: The guitarist who Eric Clapton describes as the world’s greatest performs at 7:30 p.m. July 24 at the Lincoln Theatre, 712 S. First St., Mount Vernon. For tickets, $10 to $30, call 360-336-8955 or go to www.lincolntheatre.org.

Cheryl Bentyne: Mount Vernon’s own Cheryl Bentyne, a member of the Manhattan Transfer, plans to sing in concert at 5 p.m. July 27 at he Lincoln Theatre, 712 S. First St., Mount Vernon. Also hosted by the Skagit County Historical Museum, the rare hometown concert will include the singer’s hits. For tickets, $20, call 360-336-8955 or go to www.lincolntheatre.org.

Ecumenical Summer Choir: Lutheran Choral Association of Snohomish County invites singers of all denominations to join in from 7 to 9 p.m. Mondays through Sept. 1 at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, 9320 Meadow Way, Everett. A concert in early September is planned. The choir bridges the gap for singers whose choirs are off for the summer and start up again in the fall. The intent is to support, rather than compete with area churches, by keeping voices exercised, minds challenged, and spirits lifted over the summer. Friday Music Jam Sessions: For people with disabilities and their friends, the Village Music and Art’s Friday jam sessions, featuring live music by Jon Dalgarn and Voices of the Village, are 1 to 3 p.m. Fridays at 338 N. McLeod, Arlington. Musicians and other interested community members are welcome. Children younger than 16 must be accompanied by a parent or caregiver. Call 360-653-7752, ext. 14, for information or to sign up.

Cascade Symphony Orchestra: Offers season tickets, $100 for adults and $80 for seniors. Call the Edmonds Center for the Arts box office at 425-275-9595.

The Everett Chorale: General admission 2014-15 season tickets are $70. Tickets available to seniors, students and military personnel for $66.
