Sacred chant
Join Seth Bartlett and friends on select Sunday mornings for a workshop of high energy, sacred chants called Kirtan.
Kirtan is devotional chanting — described as a heartfelt way to open to spirit through singing. The purpose of Kirtan is not entertainment (although many find it enjoyable) or even to sound good. All are welcome, whether you can carry a tune or not. You will learn to sing powerful ancient mantras and prayers in an easy, heart-opening way.
Bartlett has been leading Kirtan for many years and is passionate about the healing effects of sacred sound. Kirtan is a great opportunity to stretch your spirit and vocal cords in a safe environment.
The next opportunity is at 11 a.m. Sunday at The Conway Muse, 18444 Main St., Conway; 360-445-3000; www.theconwaymuse.com. Admission is $5.
