Performers Vince Gill, Amy Grant and Lisa Loeb will join Seattle chefs and 50 Washington wineries this summer to support Camp Korey, a new facility in Carnation for children with life-threatening illnesses.
Camp Korey was founded by Seattle businessman Tim Rose, whose daughter, Korey Rose, died at 18 after battling bone cancer. The camp will open its doors this summer to campers from across the Pacific Northwest, and is working with the Association of Hole in the Wall Camps, founded by actor Paul Newman, to become a member of that family of camps.
The weekend will take place July 11 and 12 at the camp’s site, previously site of Carnation Farms.
Tickets are $2,500 per person for the weekend, including Friday and Saturday lodging; $1,000 per person for Saturday only. For information and tickets, go to www.washingtonwinesfestival.com.
