Music at the Marina: This free annual concert series kicks off at 5 p.m. July 11 with ’80s New Wave tribute band Nite Wave at Port Gardner Landing, 3632 Rucker Ave., Everett. Music starts at 6:30 p.m. The series continues each Thursday through August, with Thunderpussy on July 18, Clinton Fearon on July 25, Chance McKinney on Aug. 1, The Little Lies on Aug. 18, Eldridge Gravy & The Court Supreme on Aug. 15, Queen Mother on Aug. 22 and Leroy Bell & His Only Friends on Aug. 29. Summer Jazz Weekend: A double header of soulful tunes will greet viewers July 12-13 at the Whidbey Island Center for the Arts, 565 Camano Ave., Langley, opening at 7:30 p.m. July 12 with a performance by the Thomas Marriott Quartet. Whidbey Island icons Ada Rose Faith-Feyma, Troy Chapman and Sheila Weidendorf will then perform at 7:30 p.m. July 13. For more, go to wicaonline.org.

Mill Creek Summer Concert Series: The 14th-annual concert series, which is free, continues with Sly Mr. Y at 6-8 p.m. July 17 at The Forum at Mill Creek Town Center, 15115 Main St., Mill Creek. Ice Cube: An original member of the hip-hop supergroup N.W.A., Ice cube is today is an icon of music, movies and sports. Now, he’s set to bring his musical skills to Everett at 8 p.m. July 18 at Angel of the Winds Arena, 2000 Hewitt Ave. Tickets start at $55. For more, go to angelofthewindsarena.com.

Whidbey Island Guitar Festival: Imagine a music festival where you could sit down and hear rock, jazz, classical, blues, renaissance, flamenco and world music side by side. This festival — set for July 19-21 at the Whidbey Center for the Arts, 565 Camano Ave., Langley — is just such a unicorn. A full festival pass is $115. Rock the Boat: Mudhoney and Sweet Water, with Van Eps and Cloud Cover perform July 19 and Clay Walker, Deana Carter and Smith & Tegio perform July 20 from 3:30-10:30 p.m. at Boxcar Park (200 Millwright Loop W) at the Port of Everett waterfront. Doors open at 2:30 p.m. with a DJ set. There will be food trucks and a beer garden serving beer, cider, wine and cocktails. Tickets $45-$90 for the July 19 show and $59.50-$150 for the July 20 show. Everett Public Library Summer Concert Series: This free concert series begins from 1-3 p.m. July 20 with Café Impromptu, a swing jazz concert with special guest Lisa Liu at the Everett Public Library’s main auditorium, 2702 Hoyt Ave. Everett. Electic cellist Gretchen Yanover will perform from 1-2 p.m. Aug. 3 at the Everett library, then Mariachi Mi Tierra will perform from 6:30-7:30 p.m. at the library’s Evergreen branch, 9512 Evergreen Way. Dwight Yoakam with The Mavericks: The Grammy-winning country artist will be joined by one of the most critically acclaimed and commercially successful groups of the early ‘90s at 7 p.m. July 20 at at Angel of the Winds Arena, 2000 Hewitt Ave. Tickets start at $55.50. Music at the Beach: This 21-plus concert series features False Sense of Security on July 27 and Legacy on Aug. 17 at Mukilteo’s Lighthouse Park, 609 Front St. Bring a blanket and a low, beach-style chair, and enjoy the music and the sunshine with the beach and lighthouse in the background. The beer and wine garden opens at 4:30 p.m., and music begins at 6 p.m. For more information and to purchase tickets, go to mukilteochamber.org.

Sounds of Africa Festival 2.0: This free event — 1-7 p.m. Aug. 17 at Garfield Park, 2300 Walnut St., Everett — will feature traditional African cuisines, a fashion show and live music by African artists such as Pa Bobo Jorbarteh, The Kuyateh Arts, Selassie Soldiers, WAWAC Bideww Choir, and Gansango Dance & Music company. Pacifica Chamber Orchestra: The 2024-25 season begins Oct. 5 with music by Howard Hanson, Ernest Bloch, the U.S. premiere performance of Ruth Gipps’ Cringlemire Garden, Impression for String Orchestra, and the Concerto for Organ and String Orchestra by Jon Laukvik, Youngjin Joo, organ solo. On Dec. 7, PCO’s Annual Showcase of Local Young Musicians will present Joyce Ye, piano soloist and Alex Chen, cello soloist who will perform music by Mozart and Haydn. Also on the program is String Lake by Pulitzer Prize winner Jennifer Higdon plus music by Peter Warlock and Josef Suk. Four living composers’ works will be performed Feb. 22, 2025: Chicharra by Nicholas Repetto, The Flow of Compassion by M. Torumtay Altan, Movement for String Orchestra by Stefan Diehl, and Stephanie Ann Boyd’s A Kaleidoscoped Menagerie. Pacifica Chamber Orchestra performs at Zion Lutheran Church, 4634 Alger Ave., Everett. All four concerts are set for 3 p.m. Saturdays, with tickets sold at the door 30 minutes before each concert. Everett Philharmonic Orchestra: The 2024-25 season begins Oct. 6 with Barbara Harbach’s Vision’s of Hildegard, George Gershwin’s Variations on “I Got Rhythm” with pianist Duane Funderburk and Igor Stravinsky’s Firebird Suite 1919 Version. The season continues with Music for the Imagination on Dec. 1, That Magnificent Mozart! on Feb. 23, 2025, the Everett Philharmic Orchestra Gala on April 6, 2025, and Listener’s Choice on June 1, 2025. Hope Theatre Group: Young adults will perform “The Hunchback of Notre Dame” at 7 p.m. July 12 as well as 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. July 13 at the Snohomish County PUD Theater, 2320 California St., Everett. Tickets are $15. For more information and to purchase tickets, go to hopetheatregroup.org/hunchback.

All Aboard: The Everett-based nonprofit activity center for adults with developmental disabilities will stage “We Welcome All Aboard” at 6 p.m. July 24 at the Snohomish County PUD Theater, 2320 California St., Everett. The show features songs and stories that explore the themes of what makes us unique and what inclusion looks like. Tickets are by donation. For more, go to allaboardwa.org.

The Curious Savage: This comedic play, written by John Patrick, is about Ethel P. Savage, an elderly woman whose husband recently died and left her approximately ten million dollars. The show opens at 7 p.m. July 25 and runs through Aug. 11, with shows at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. at at Historic Everett Theatre, 2911 Colby Ave., Everett. General admission tickets are $15. Village Theatre: The 2024-25 season comprises four musicals and a murder mystery. All five shows will be staged by the professional theater company at the Everett Performing Arts Center, 2710 Wetmore Ave., Everett. For more, go to villagetheatre.org.

• “Camelot,” the beloved musical by Lerner and Loewe, will run from Oct. 19 to Nov. 10.

• “Legally Blonde,” the stage musical version of the Reese Witherspoon movie. Jan. 4-26, 2025.

• “Dial M for Murder,” a new adaptation of the murder mystery chestnut, promising more twists and turns than the Hitchcock film. March 1-23, 2025.

• “Jersey Boys,” The story of Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons, who sang like angels and cussed like Jersey teenagers. May 3-25, 2025.

• “The Color Purple,” a musical based on Alice Walker’s novel and Steven Spielberg’s movie. July 5-27, 2025.

Cascadia Art Museum: Current exhibitions at this venue for Northwest art from the early and mid 20th century are: “A Legacy Rediscovered: Northwest Women Artists 1920-1970,” through Jan. 5, 2025; and “Modern Forms / Modern Adornment,” through Nov. 24. Lynnwood Event Center: The “Longing For Home” art exhibit, presented by the Korean American Artists Association of Washington State, will run through Dec. 13 at 3711 196th St. SW, Lynnwood. The exhibit celebrates the rich cultural heritage and artistic expression of the Korean American community through mediums such as oil, ink, watercolor, photography and recycled materials. Summer Fest: This free annual event from 1-4 p.m. July 20 at Evergreen Arboretum — 145 Alverson Blvd., Everett — unites families and youth-serving organizations for an extraordinary afternoon of engaging activities made possible with help from the Imagine Children’s Museum, YMCA, Dawson Place, Master Gardeners of Snohomish County, Everett Public Library, Rain City Ropeworks and others. Silvana Fair: Started in 1947 to help local youth prepare for larger fairs, the one-day Silvana Fair continues to attract large numbers of exhibitors and participants. This year, the field behind Viking Hall — 1331 Pioneer Highway, Stanwood — will come alive at 9 a.m. July 27 with flag raising and opening ceremonies, followed by children’s games, judging of animal exhibits, a riding lawnmower tractor pull and a petting farm for the littlest visitors. Live music starts at noon and, of course, fair food is available all day. The day wraps with the Parade of Champions at 5 p.m. Admission and parking are free. For more, go to silvanafair.com.
