New Faces write songs about emotions, or so the group claims.
Nabbing some of its best musical moves from the 1980s resurgence of a couple years ago, this dancy rock band out of Port Townsend plans to play Seattle at 9 p.m. Friday.
The show, at the Comet Tavern, 922 E. Pike St., is 21 and over. Tickets are $5.
The unsigned trio have a self-titled, three-song EP, available through their MySpace page.
The group’s sharp-edged song “She’s Like the Snow” has been selected as a song of the day by the KEXP blog. It’s a hooky blend of guitar and punchy snare that sounds strikingly similar — you might even say too strikingly similar — to Franz Ferdinand.
