Bring your favorite leopard jammies and have a p.j. party at the Woodland Park Zoo.
On the Overnight Adventure, from 6:30 p.m. to 9 a.m. July 16 and 24 and Aug. 13 and 21, visitors (age 7 and older) spend the night indoors at the zoo and wake up to wish the animals a good morning and enjoy breakfast.
Guests may choose to sleep in the Zoomazium area or the Education Center for $42 or $48 a person respectively.
On the same dates, from 6:30 to 10 p.m., Evening Adventure guests can enjoy a pizza dinner and explore the zoo at night, without sleeping over, for $33 a person.
On July 10, more rugged adventurers can bring their own tents and sleeping bags for a Camp Out Adventure in the Family Farm area, The fun begins at 6:30 p.m. and includes a campfire with s’mores and a guided zoo tour, plus breakfast and a birdwalk adventure the next morning.
The Camp Out costs $60 a person. Guests are advised to eat dinner before arriving at the zoo.
Groups, comprised of at least one adult to every six children, are welcome.
Organized groups of 22 or more, like Cub Scouts or large birthday parties, may choose their own dates to attend, through September for Camp Outs, and through November for Overnight Adventures.
