Though the berries are late, Biringer Farm won’t wait.
The farm will open its gates this weekend for the annual Strawberry Harvest Festival.
There may not be berries, but there are plenty of blossoms for families to enjoy on a tour of the fields with the farmer on the Jolly Trolley.
And there’s plenty of free strawberry shortcake for kids of all ages who come dressed as their favorite Hollywood character from the 1940s.
There will also be pony rides — Saturday only — a giant strawberry ride, a giant strawberry inflatable, a castle maze inflatable, pennies in the hay, kiddy slides, barnyard croquet, pig-butt bowling, interactive strawberry story time and face painting.
The Biringer Farm Strawberry Harvest Fest 2011 is 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at 21412 59th Ave. NE, Arlington.
Admission is free.
