It’s show time: The Everett Home &Garden Show, Snohomish County’s biggest home and garden event, will be April 17 to 19 at Comcast Arena in Everett.
More than 250 vendors will be at the show, including contractors, designers, nurseries and many businesses with specialty home and garden products.
Guest speakers include Bob Barca, a Snohomish County master gardener who will talk about butterfly and hummingbird gardens, water features and Mediterranean gardening; and Chris Herman with Snohomish County PUD, who will explain a new solar incentive program.
Hours for the show are noon to 6 p.m. April 17, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. April 18 and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. April 19.

Rhody fans unite: The American Rhododendron Society’s annual convention, “Rhododendron Rendezvous,” is coming to Everett.
Events will include speakers and tours of private and public gardens April 30 through May 3. The convention takes place at the Holiday Inn in Everett, where there will be a large plant sale from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. May 2 and 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. May 3.

Save the date: Purrfect Pals, a Smokey Point-area cat-adoption organization, will present its second annual Cats ‘n Garden Tour from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. June 7 at six large gardens in the Stanwood and Marysville areas. Cats will be available for adoption at each garden. Proceeds will benefit Purrfect Pals, which will host a plant sale during the event at its shelter at 230 McRae Road NE, Arlington.
Tickets are $10 and will be available starting May 1 at the shelter, Sunnyside Nursery in Marysville, Emery’s Garden in Lynnwood, Christianson’s Nursery in Mount Vernon and Gargoyles Statuary in Seattle.
