Inaugural architecture tour: Are you looking for design ideas, or just want to peek inside some stunning homes?

Take the inaugural Tour of Architects on Saturday and Sunday on Bainbridge Island.

This two-day event, sponsored by Seattle Homes &Lifestyles magazine, will feature about a dozen properties each day, along with numerous local architects and contractors on hand to answer questions.

Residential and commercial projects will showcase new construction, remodeling, interior design, landscaping, sustainability, accessibility, home theaters, art studio concepts and kid-friendly design.

The tour starts at 10 a.m. at a different hub site each day, with speakers, vendors, food, programs, maps and directions. Tour hours at the rest of the sites are 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Visitors can drive themselves to tour homes Saturday. On Sunday, a shuttle service is provided because of limited parking or access at many of the sites.

Admission is a $15 suggested donation for one day or $20 for both days.

Proceeds will benefit Bainbridge Performing Arts, the Housing Resources Board and Helpline House.

See www.tourofarchitects.com to plan your route or preview the homes. Call 206-819-3618 for more information.
