Did you forget to recycle your Christmas tree with your local troop of Boy Scouts?
If you did, you’re in luck.
Everett Community College is offering free tree recycling.
Drop your tree off at EvCC and you’ll help the college’s facilities and grounds department, which is always looking to save money on landscaping and mulch costs.
Trees must be unflocked, and all decorations and tinsel must be removed.
Directions to the drop-off site: Go west on Tower Street from Broadway. Continue straight up the college’s service drive and look for a drop-off spot on the right by the recycling dumpster. There should be a sign.
“There is no rush,” college spokeswoman Jenny Zuvela said. “We’ll accept trees from now until they stop being dropped off.”
