There are still two months until the Oscars will be unveiled for 2010, revealing the movie industry’s picks for the very best of the big screen.
The Oscars don’t always fall in line with popularity, typically gauged by ticket sales. These days we have other ways of peering into the psyche of movie audiences.
The folks at Comcast just released their list of the most downloaded movies via their On Demand system. They are broken down by state and for the country.
In Washington state, the most downloaded movies of 2010 were:
1. “The Blind Side”
2. “Couples Retreat”
3. “The Twilight Saga: New Moon”
4. “Hot Tub Time Machine”
5. “The Hurt Locker”
6. “It’s Complicated”
7. “Shutter Island”
8. “Date Night”
9. “The Book of Eli”
10. “Avatar”
