unset Bay, on Norma Beach Road in Edmonds. A watersports day camp for kids, ages 10 to 17, with weekly sessions 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, until Sept. 2, $350 per child. Includes kayaking, sailing, windsurfing, wake boarding and innertubing for any level of experience and ability. Register with Edmonds Parks and Recreation, 425-771-0230, www.reczone.org.

Forest and Wildlife Fun Day: 4 to 8 p.m. July 27, McCollum Park, 600 128th St. SE Everett; Program for kids and parents includes exploring the forest, searching for critters, geocaching, and arts and crafts. Over-the-Hill-Hikers: Various times on Thursdays, Edmonds Senior Center, 220 Railroad Ave.; www.scscedmonds.org. Most trips cost $13 for senior center members and $16 for nonmembers. Call Larry Weimer, 425-513-9374, before signing up for the trip. For all hikes meet and park at United Methodist Church, 828 Caspers St., Edmonds. Each hike is limited to 10 people.

n Johnson Ridge Trail, 8 a.m. July 28; medium to difficult 4 miles, with elevation gain of 1,000 feet.

n Esmerelda Basin (Snoqualmie Pass), wildflower hike, 7:30 a.m. Aug. 3; medium 4 to 6 miles with elevation gain of 1,600 feet.

Pilchuck Audubon Society: Birding trips, pack a lunch if it’s not provided; www.pilchuckaudubon.org.

n Diablo Lake and Thunder Knob Trail; meet at 8 a.m. July 17 at Everett Mall (in the back, near the transit facility). 3.6 miles round trip, 425-foot gain, moderately easy. Perfect for kids. Hat, water and sunscreen essential. Leader: Jonathan Blubaugh, 425-244-7633, aracfi@msn.com.

n Blue Stilly Park and other areas nearby; meet at 8 a.m. July 19 at Quilceda Village Walmart lot. Virginia Clark is going to show us her neighborhood, including her feeders. She will provide lunch at her home. Leader: Virginia Clark, 360-435-3750.

n Mount Baker Highway; meet at 7 a.m. July 26 at Quilceda Village Walmart lot. Golden eagle, gray-crowned rosy-finch, ptarmigan, swifts, pipits, larks and numerous mammals are possible. Expect wildflowers. Trip leaders: Art Wait, 360-563-0181, Virginia Clark, 360-435-3750.

n Anacortes; meet 7:30 a.m. Aug. 2 , at Quilceda Village Walmart lot. Many beautiful birding places, including lakes, beaches, marinas, and even a mountain. Trip leader: Virginia Clark, 360-435-3750.
