Each hike is limited to nine hikers.

n 8 a.m. Jan. 27; Kelcema Lake Road — Mountain Loop Highway (snowshoe and cross-country), 4 to 8 miles, difficulty medium, elevation gain 700 to 1,100 feet.

n Guemes Island; Meet at 7:30 a.m. Jan. 25 at the Quilceda Village Wal-Mart lot west of Marysville (I-5 exit 200). After a ferry ride from Anacortes, enjoy Guemes Island, its people, birds and dogs. Trip leader: Virginia Clark 360-435-3750.

Annual snowshoe trek — Stevens Pass to Lanham Lake; Meet 8:30 a.m. Jan. 22 at Fairhaven park-and-ride, about 10 a.m. at Sultan Bakery or 11 a.m. at the Nordic Ski Center about 5 miles east of Stevens Pass. Sign-up deadline 5 p.m. Jan. 19. Open to the public, limit of eight participants. Bring lunch and water, snowshoes, poles and boots.
