This two-sided, flippable skillet, the Perfect Pancake Pan, promises “four picture-perfect pancakes every time,” and it delivers. It has four wells that hold batter and make perfect pancake circles. In fact, they were so round and perfect, they resembled crumpets more than pancakes.
In general, however, the pan is pretty unnecessary. For the same $19.99 you would spend on this pan, you could buy an electric griddle, which will make six or eight pancakes at a time — and can be used for a whole lot more, such as cooking bacon or making several grilled sandwiches at once.
