Let the canine capers begin!
The ninth annual Mutt Strut summer event beckons owners and their furry friends for hours of fun and information, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Aug. 28 at Everett’s Langus Riverfront Park, 400 Smith Island Road.
It’s truly a day for dogs, as Everything about Mutt Strut, from the pet-centered information booths to the microchipping, is free, except for contest entries.
Contests will include jumping, catching and “Most Tricks in One Minute,” among others.
The cost is $5 per event or $10 for an unlimited day of competition.
With dogs, cats and other animals available for adoption also set to be on hand, the day could mark the start of pet-filled futures for the humans who attend.
