Leavenworth Oktoberfest
Leavenworth’s Oktoberfest celebration is the first three Fridays and Saturdays in October. There will be plenty of beer and bratwurst and there will be a keg tapping at 1 p.m. every Saturday. Tickets are $10 on Friday and $20 on Saturday and children and active military are free.
Anacortes Bier on the Pier
The annual Anacortes Bier on the Pier event is Oct. 3 and 4 at the Historic Port of Anacortes Warehouse (100 Commercial Ave., Anacortes). Thirty breweries will be on hand, including American Brewing, Big E Ales and Snoqualmie Brewing, and there will be food vendors and live music. The event begins at 5 p.m. on Friday and noon on Saturday. Advance tickets are $20 per day and can be purchased at www.anacortes.org/bier-on-the-pier. Tickets are $25 per day at the door and include a commemorative glass and six taste tokens.
Great Pumpkin Beer Festival
Elysian Brewing is hosting its 10th annual Great Pumpkin Beer Festival on Oct. 3 and 4 at Elysian Brewery at 5510 Airport Way S., Seattle. There will be more than 80 pumpkin beers pouring, as well as local food trucks, pumpkin carving and other fall activities. Also a giant pumpkin, filled with Elysian pumpkin beer, sealed and conditioned ahead of time, will be tapped at the festival for all to enjoy. The festival is from 4 to 10 p.m. on Friday and 2 to 8 p.m. on Saturday and tickets are $28 for one day or $50 for two-day passes. Tickets are available at all Elysian locations or online at Brown Paper Tickets.
Yachtoberfest
The first annual Yachtoberfest is on the historic Thea Foss Waterway esplanade (1715 Dock St, Tacoma) on Saturday, Oct. 4 at 11:30 a.m. There will be boats, beers and bratwurst. Proceeds benefit a number of organizations that work to promote and improve Tacoma’s waterfront. Tickets are $10 if purchased in advance or $15 at the door.
