What: Phlox paniculata “Franz Schubert”
This fragrant, lilac perennial provides the gardener a long bloom time, from July through September. Native to the north and southeastern United States, it attracts butterflies, bees and birds. This phlox is soft lilac in color with a star-like center and makes a wonderful addition to the residential garden.
SUN OR SHADE: For best coloration, place in full sun. It will tolerate part shade.
Size: Mature height is 36 inches with a spread of 24-inches wide.
See it: In the WSU Snohomish County Master Gardener Demonstration Garden at Jennings Memorial Park, 6915 Armar Road, Marysville.
