What: Rhododendron “Taurus”
People take notice of Rhododendron “Taurus” as soon as the buds are developed in late winter or early spring. Large buds of deep red are set against its dark green foliage, creating quite a colorful display. When its blooms open in early spring, it is spectacular. A backdrop of various conifers only heightens its impact, especially when the colors of those trees span several shades of green.
SUN OR SHADE: This rhododendron performs well in the Pacific Northwest climate in either full sun or part shade.
Size: Typically grows to 6 feet tall and 5 feet wide.
