Bartell Drugs in Lake Stevens, formerly Mitchell’s Pharmacy, is one of a handful of the retailer’s stores with a gift section.

Judy Matheson, owner of two retail stores in Everett, had a hand in bringing an expanded gift section to Mitchell’s before Bartell Drugs bought the pharmacy.

The former buyer laid ground for a gift section that keeps growing and growing. Rachel Organ, current buyer for the gift section, said Bartell Drugs kept the section because there wasn’t anything like it in Lake Stevens. Organ likes to give the people what they want. She rotates inventory seasonally and carries much requested items such as Snowbabies collectibles from Dept. 56.

Bartell Drugs is in Frontier Village, 621 Highway 9 NE, Lake Stevens. For information, call 425-334-8410.
