Lisa Goshorn and Michael McFadden star in “Private Eyes,” opening tonight for two weekends at Everett Theatre. The Sky Performing Arts production, which recently finished a run in Monroe, is a smart, sexy and witty thriller, according to Herald arts writer Theresa Goffredo, who reviewed the play in last week’s A&E section. “The play’s clever dialogue is even more enhanced by a strong cast of Sky Performing Arts actors who make each scene count and who deliver lines with a one-two punch,” she wrote. The play’s twisty-turny plot focuses on Matthew’s wife, Lisa, who is having an affair with Adrian, a British theater director. But is she? Could it be that’s just part of a play being rehearsed? Or is this affair all part of Matthew’s imagination, so he has something to believe in about his relationship that he can report to his therapist? Then there’s Cory, the mystery woman. Does it seem she is shadowing the others? You’ll have to see it to find out. “Private Eyes” shows at 8 p.m. today, Saturday and June 6 and 7 at Everett Theatre, 2911 Colby Ave., Everett. Tickets are $20; $15 senior, student, military; $10 children under 10, at the door or 425-258-6766, www.everetttheatre.org.
