The holiday season is usually a bustling, busy time. It’s the very time when you want to look and feel your best. A great way to do that is to give yourself the lasting gift of professional skin care.

Lumina Laser and Medical Skincare is a state-of-the-art practice that offers skin rejuvenation and treatment, hair reduction and other medical and aesthetic procedures under the guidance of a fully trained physician.

A graduate of the University of Washington School of Medicine, Dr. Victoria Stocker combines years of experience with the latest in technology and products to keep her patients looking renewed and refreshed just when they need it most.

State-of-the-art procedures at Stocker’s practice include fractional resurfacing, a gold standard technique to reduce facial wrinkles and lines without surgery. Fractional lasers are able to offer deep penetration that stimulates collagen production. This results in a fresher, more youthful appearance.

Fractional resurfacing can also address problem areas such as the crinkly crepe-paper skin under the eyes, crow’s feet and pucker lines around the lips. It is also an ideal technique for treatment of acne scarring, improving stretch marks or simply to improve skin texture.

Fractional resurfacing has more dramatic results than most other laser procedures. Better still, it does not require the anesthesia or pain pills that many older treatments required. For even more impressive results, resurfacing can be combined with cosmetic injectables and Botox.

Probably the most requested laser treatment at Lumina is the IPL Photofacial. This is the treatment that addresses unwanted red and brown spots resulting from sun damage, Rosacea and other pigment problems.

The Palomar Starlux system is able to target the tiny broken blood vessels and pigments left from age and sun exposure. Brown spots start lifting after the first treatment while redness and broken vessels often disappear after the third. Photofacials are customized for every client as well as for each individual visit to ensure the very best results.

The very best results are also what everyone wants when they take advantage of cosmetic fillers. This area of aesthetic medicine can restore volume and smooth away folds in the skin. Stocker provides patients with the best techniques and products.

Stocker is not only extensively trained in the use of cosmetic injectables, but she also has a gentle, skillful technique to help restore a refreshed, youthful appearance. Listening to her patients, training and medical knowledge are vital to ensure accurate injections and proper placement.

This also holds true of another minimally invasive injectable that can create a refreshed and healthy appearance. Botox is a naturally-occurring protein that is able to quiet a muscle causing a frown line or scowl.

When properly administered by a skilled physician, Botox is a very simple, safe non-surgical way to look younger and less careworn. Botox can also be used in the treatment of hyperhydrosis or excessive sweating. This is especially nice at the holiday season when such a condition can not only be embarrassing but also ruin special formal gowns and suits.
