Brown bag it today: Want to talk with other avid readers about books you’ve read or are reading? Join the Everett Public Library’s Brown Bag Book Discussion at noon today in the main library’s training room. The group meets monthly, usually on the first Tuesday, to discuss whatever books they’ve been reading, new or old. Bring your lunch if you wish.
See the group’s Web page for a schedule and list of books already discussed, www.everettwa.org, or call 425-257-8000. The library is at 2702 Hoyt. Ave., Everett.
To the moon: Edmonds author JoAnne Nelson will meet with kids to talk about her latest book, “The Witches’ Little Sister,” at 11 a.m. Saturday at Marysville BookWorks. The little girl in this story told in rhyme imagines she’s off to the moon on a broomstick. The book, appropriate for age 3 and above, has full-page watercolor illustrations by Jack McLellan and lists at $18.95.
Nelson is the owner of SuperBooks, an educational book publishing company.
Marysville BookWorks is at 1510 Third St. Call 360-659-4997 for more information.
