It’s time to get the gear ready and make your camping plans.
Most campgrounds in the Mount Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest opened Friday, although the San Juan and Troublesome Creek campgrounds in the Skykomish Ranger District will not be open until May 31.
It’s usually mid-July after the snow melts before higher elevation campgrounds, such as Corral Pass in the Snoqualmie Ranger District corridor, will be open.
You can find a forest campsite online and check the availability with the campground concessionaire, HooDoo, or contact Rob Ralph for more information at 360-691-1841. To reserve a campground go to the National Recreation Reservation Service, www.fs.fed.us/recreation/.
