The brand-new “Cook This, Not That! Kitchen Survival Guide” by Men’s Health editors David Zinczenko and Matt Goulding offers recipes that mimic some of the most popular dishes available in American chain restaurants — but without the unreasonable calorie counts.
The dishes include such fare as Chili’s Fire Grilled Chicken Fajita and Outback Steakhouse’s Roasted Filet with Port Wine Sauce.
The recipes attempt to limit the over-the-top fat content of many of these dishes and explains the subtitle of the book: “The No Diet Weight Loss Solution.”
Other information includes tips on navigating a buffet, good choices for meals under 500 calories and a list of the best and worst restaurants for healthy eating.
