Launch the holidays at bothell’s Country Village with “A Taste of the Holidays” from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday.
Thousands of lights, some in the shapes of marching ducks and a 40-foot sea serpent, will be in place already.
Free samples of hot, roasted chestnuts will be served from 4 to 6 p.m. and a bring-your-own-glass wine walk will take visitors through the various shops between 5 and 8 p.m. to sample products from 20 Washington wineries.
Each wine walk ticket covers 10 tastings. Tickets may be purchased for $20 in advance from www.npacf.org, the website for Bothell’s Northshore Performing Arts Center, or $25 at the village’s Ticket Tent in the main parking lot on Saturday.
Throughout the day, visitors can help decorate the village Christmas tree or help make cedar garlands for decorating the village porches and posts.
Bothell’s Country Village is at 23718 Bothell-Everett Highway.
