The much-anticipated and popular annual Schack Artists Garage Sale is the place to find deals on artwork and art supplies.
The sale is 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday in the 2900 block of Hoyt Avenue, where more than 125 artists will sell old and new stock, including paintings, glass art, fiber arts, ceramics, jewelry and photography.
People line up for the start of the sale, which moves quickly.
Ceramic artist Gina Holt, who has been participating in the sale for more than 10 years, enjoys the “fast, furious and fun” atmosphere, she said.
As a fundraiser, the Schack Art Center is offering $20 “early bird” tickets to 100 people who want to visit the sale at 8 a.m., an hour before the free, public entrance. Tickets are available online at schack.org/events.
Schack Art Center is a nonprofit visual art center featuring artwork from professional artists, as well as emerging young talents. The main gallery provides a first-class view into the world of glassblowing and the state-of the art hot shop. The facility also has four production studios for youth and adult classes.
