Harbour Pointe students of the month
Harbour Pointe Middle School selected its students of the month for September.
The theme was “Inquirer.” Inquirers have natural curiosity, enjoy learning and research, and learn independently.
Sixth grade: Madison Albrecht, Ian Doner, Lillian Heard and Charlie Sonmore.
Seventh grade: Katia Diaz-Valadez, Takeru Doi, Emily Haugstad, Koby Kamin and Sabrina Kelley.
Eighth grade: Austin Carlo, Melanie Marshall, Anton Paras and Symone Williams.
Lake Stevens students of the month
The Lake Stevens School Board recently recognized students of the month for September.
Lake Stevens High School: Zeb Porter and Kiana Colberg, 10th grade; Hunter Gracey and Dana Teigen, 11th grade; and Warren Lewis and Lindsey Danas, 12th grade.
Cavelero Mid High School: Keynan Foster and Julia Harrell, eighth grade; and Diamonte Ridley and Amanda Strand, ninth grade.
Lake Stevens Middle School: Aleeya Defalco and Matthew Adams, sixth grade; and Luke Menard and Sophie O’Neill, seventh grade.
North Lake Middle School: Jacob Huber and Gabriella Strode, sixth grade; and Amanda Anderson and Bryson Cole, seventh grade.
Jackson students are semifinalists
Jackson High School students Jason Cho, Rachel Choi, Michael Haeger, Joshua Lim and Daniel Yoo were named semifinalists in the National Merit Scholarship Program.
Finalists are expected to be announced in April.
