Harbor Pointe students of month
December’s theme for student of the month at Harbour Pointe Middle School was communicators.
Communicators understand and express ideas confidently and creatively in more than one language and in different ways. They work effectively and will
ingly with others.
Harbour Pointe Middle School selected the following students who best demonstrated these qualities:
Sixth grade: Radhika Dalal, Lara Mangulabnan, Finn O’Hea and Lynn Siebert.
Seventh grade: Aaron Bettencourt, Jaime Cabal, Natalie Durbin and Daniella Hodeg Castano.
Eighth grade: Judy Chin, Maggie Painter, Diefa Shabirah, Kevin Travia and Jason Wangadi.
Local grads earn degrees at Concordia
Chelsea Lind of Lynnwood and Sarah Morgan of Monroe have earned bachelor’s degrees from Concordia University in Portland, Ore.
Concordia University is a private, Christian, liberal arts university with a mission to prepare students for the transformation of society.
Lake Stevens student named to dean’s list
Mercedes Begley earned a spot on the fall semester dean’s list at Pacific Lutheran University.
Begley is the daughter of James and Roberta Begley of Lake Stevens. She is a third-year senior majoring in Chinese studies, with minors in anthropology and global studies.
Local students on Evansville dean’s list
Ashley Rojan of Edmonds and Julie Clark of Coupeville have been named to the dean’s list at University of Evansville in Evansville, Ind.
The students earned the honor by achieving at least a 3.5. grade point average for the fall semester.
