Seattle’s City Arts Festival loaded with talent

The initial 2012 Seattle City Arts Fest lineup was already looking really great. With huge out-of-town bands like Ghostland Observatory and Two Door Cinema Club on the list with just about every Seattle band I’m in love with right now, I was all in. Now City Arts Fest just went even bigger and I can’t wait.

Recently the festival announced some more artists and special performances that are being added to the lineup to include Mos Def, Reign Wolf, Motopony and a set from Jonathan Russell of The Head &The Heart. As far as festivals in Seattle go, I think this just became the best bang for your buck.

Check the announcement below:

“City Arts is pleased to announce that Mos Def with special guests The Physics, Larry Hawkins (formerly SK), Thaddeus David, and DJ Swervewon, Devotchka with the Seattle Rock Orchestra, Blind Pilot , Point Juncture, WA, Tom Eddy, The Soft Hills, Reign Wolf at the Laser Dome, SSION, Glitterbang, Nark, Fresh Espresso, Kingdom Crumbs, Key Nyata, The Good Sin, The Dusty 45s, and Vince Mira Band have been added to the music lineup.

We are also very pleased to announce the first in a series of partner shows; the free SSG Music’s Semi-Acoustic Fest Happy Hour with Ravenna Woods, Mt. St. Helens Vietnam Band, Motopony and more, the Crybaby Studios Showcase with special guests The Tempers, Eighteen Individual Eyes, Murals, Rose Windows, and Abbey Arts and Heineken City Arts Fest present Jonathan Russell of The Head &The Heart plus special guests at the All Pilgrims Church.”
