Left Hand Smoke, an up-and-coming Seattle band, has serious soul.
Their song “That’s Rock ‘n’ Roll” recently was used on ABC’s “Grey’s Anatomy.”
“Apparently, they needed a bombastic bluesy rock tune for a dramatic scene in a bar, and naturally we fit that bill,” the band said on its website.
Siblings Ben and Will Mish front the band backed by guitarist Ronan O’Mahony and Andrew Cloutier banging the drums.
It’s not the first time this fine band’s music has been used on network TV.
Their sound is strong and fresh, while definitely paying homage to the likes of the Rolling Stones and Van Morrison.
They’ve got two shows tonight at the Triple Door.
Showtimes are 7:30 p.m. for all ages, 10 p.m. for 21 and over, 216 Union St., Seattle. Tickets are $15 at www.thetripledoor.net or 206-838-4333.

Garrett will perform at 7 p.m. Sunday at The Paramount, 911 Pine St., Seattle. Tickets are $36.50 to $62 at stgpresents.org or 877-784-4849.
Concrete Blonde
Known best for its hit, “Joey,” Concrete Blonde has been touring off-and-on since the early ’80s.
Rock ‘n’ roll roots and Johnette Napolitano’s great voice power this band.
Although they could rest on their catalog of songs, they’re back to making new material.
Napolitano has been quoted saying the band’s set likely will include a good mix of their classics with more recent songs.
Menkena is opening.
The concert is scheduled for 8 p.m. Wednesday at The Neptune, 1303 NE 45th St., Seattle. Tickets are $25 in advance, $30 at the door at stgpresents.org or 877-784-4849.
