The Lake Whatcom Railway is offering scenic train rides that are a bargain for families looking for a way to spend the day before Mother’s Day riding the rails.
The Mother’s Day Train Ride takes place at noon May 12.
This scenic ride involves a stop at a waterfall and a small park. Riders get to experience the trip in an antique rail car with an hour-and-a-half trip that leaves from Sedro-Woolley in Skagit County.
Moms ride half-price but must be accompanied by a full-fare ticket holder. Fare is $20 for adults and $10 for children, Kids 2 and under ride free.
Advance ticket purchase is recommended by reserving tickets through the Bellingham Railway Museum at 360-393-7540 or you can send an email to brm@integra.net.
