50 YEARS AGO (1959)
Closer cooperation between the local and the international unions was the primary objective of a meeting at the Monte Cristo Hotel. Attendees included Ed Coffey, vice president of Everett Local; Everett Higgins, secretary-treasurer; Charles J. Montrin, International vice president, and Hill Emmett, local president.
Mardi Gras Ball of the Catholic Youth Organization was Saturday evening in the Black Prince of the Everett Yacht Club. Working to see that it was a success were Nancy Reinell, social chairman Bill Maher, Immaculate Conception CYO president Neil Rabitoy and ticket chairman Mark Schlosser.
25 YEARS AGO (1984)
Among the military people taking part in the Grenada operation was Walfredo B. Bandey of Everett, a private first class in the 82nd Airborne Division at Fort Bragg, N.C.
