50 YEARS AGO (1959)
Everett lost one of its veteran physicians and surgeons yesterday with the death of Dr. Leo Trask. He long had been associated with the Everett Clinic and during his years here was active in civic affairs as well as in medical circles. Trask had practiced in Everett since 1935.
Demonstrating his skill at turning down a piece of alabaster was Charles Lloyd, president of the Snohomish Lapidary Club. The club was planning its annual rock show at the Snohomish Armory. Mr. and Mrs. Louis Jelinek of Sultan were vice president and secretary, respectively, of the organization.
25 YEARS AGO (1984)
Executives from local businesses were volunteering time to telephone prospective members, inviting them to join the Everett Chamber of Commerce. Those needing further information were to call Tom Lamoureux, director of membership service for the Chamber.
A seminar hosted by Insurance Commissioner Dick Marquardt and local volunteers to teach senior citizens about insurance to supplement Medicare would be held at Everett Community College.
