Paine AFB Junior Citizens of the Month Judy Grashio and David Jernigan received record albums of their choice from Col. Samuel C. Grashio, just before the colonel went on leave prior to transfer. The teens were chosen by the Growing Paines and designated commanders of the Women’s Air Force and Base for a day.
Larry Peterson, 16, of Marysville won third place and $100 in the miniature home contest of the Seattle Home Show the previous week. He spent about 170 hours on the project.

Next it would be unloaded and set upon a new foundation at the new Everett Marina complex.
Everett physician Thomas Subitch, who had helped train Everett Fire Department emergency personnel over the years, received a plaque of appreciation from Fire Chief Doug McNall for his assistance at a recent traffic accident on Mukilteo Boulevard and for his continued service to the emergency medical program.
