Kenneth Schilaty, manager of Snohomish County Industrial Bureau; Emerson Elder, public relations manager for Weyerhaeuser; and Kenneth Killien, manager of First National Bank of Everett Lynnwood Branch, were panel members for a meeting and program of Washington Association of Social Welfare to be held at Baker Heights Hall.
Trudy Mullen and Robert VanRyn, Whittier School students, studied a copy of the Declaration of Independence as they prepared themselves for the school’s observance of Loyalty Day.

Walter Mickelvart of Marysville was one of three winners in the state’s million dollar Lotto jackpot. His family selected the correct numbers — 7, 13, 18, 21, 27 and 36 — to win over $136,000 after taxes, said Stewart Kelly, regional sales manager for the Everett lottery sales office.
The Edmonds School District unveiled a plan to move its headquarters and bus barn across town into a single new facility that would be completed by 1990. The district’s bus barn and other transportation facilities were located on about nine acres of prime real estate adjacent to the Alderwood Mall.
