50 years ago (1962)
Lee Wicklund, an experienced real estate salesman, joined the firm of Lyle Kent and William Hulbert in Selective Properties, Inc. at 2732 Hoyt Avenue. Wicklund, who lived in Lake Stevens, sold residential and business properties. Previously he had operated Wicklund Realty.
Goodyear celebrated its grand opening at the northeast corner of Everett and McDougall avenues across from the new B&M. Associated with the business were Bill Davidson, Ken Rogers, Dave Quam and Joe DeArmond. They advertised the friendliest service in town. Coffee and doughnuts were available for mom and dad and balloons and refreshments for the kids.
25 years ago (1987)
Carolyn Wallace was named manager of development in the Office of College Relations and Development at Edmonds Community college. Wallace was previously with the Health Sciences Development Office at the University of Washington, where she was involved in fund raising.
Ramon David and Dave Crawford were appointed to new management positions at Pietro’s Corp., a 65-restaurant pizza chain based in Lynnwood. David was now director of management development. Crawford replaced David, becoming the head of 28 Peitro’s in Washington.
