50 years ago (1962)
Two-year-old terry Johnson of Monroe was the hero of the hour. He was watching his father Ira Johnson working under his car when the props gave way pinning him under the vehicle. Young Terry knew immediately knew what to do. He scampered into the house so his mother Edith Johnson could find help.
Social Club of Cedar Camp, royal Neighbors of America, held its last meeting before vacation at Florence Maxin’s home. Ida Nelson was co-hostess. Plans were made for the annual homecoming dinner in September and for a card party to take place in October.
25 years ago (1987)
GTE was going to press with the 1987-88 Everett and Vicinity Directory. This was the official Everett Directory with local yellow pages, area-wide white pages and area-wide yellow pages in three books, Everett East, Everett North and Everett South.
The latest 1987 homes at Possession Bay Highlands, just west of Lake Serene at Beverly Park-Edmonds Road and 130th Place S.W., were completed and the quality and pride of workmanship showed. Finished models were open to tour; over 40 new homes were nearing completion. Prices ranged from $120,950 to $157,950.
