Looking ahead to the soccer season this spring, Everett had reason to be optimistic. Coach Geoff Bennett was in his ninth season. Key returnees were juniors Fred Hollinger, defender; Jasen Bergeson, goalie; Myxay Khamphapanh, midfielder; and sophomore Terry Berry, who was off to a fast start in the goal scoring department. The Seagulls looked to be the most improved team in the league.
