Student conductors of portions of the “Festival of Song” by Everett Junior College vocalists tomorrow afternoon were going over a score with Paul Giroux, director of the Choraliers and head of the EJC music department. The students were Corine Wicher and Tuck Bonney of Everett and Rita Kay Smith of Snohomish.
Also at the college, women modeled fashions they sewed in clothing, textile and home economics classes for guests at the style show and tea sponsored by Associated Women Students for mothers and invited guests. Wearing dresses they made were members of the committee, Dale Roybal, Sandy Francisco and Jerry Weldon, AWS president.

Hurd’s Store for Men, long a downtown fixture at 2802 Colby Ave., was having a $200,000 going out of business sale for every article in the store. It would be closed tomorrow to again slash prices on most items for the final wind-up sale the next day.
Curtis Linderman of Everett was a cast member of Eastern Washington University’s production of the musical “Guys and Dolls.” He was a third-year student at the Cheney university, with an acting/directing major.
