50 YEARS AGO (1960)
William Jenkins, president of First National Bank of Everett, announced promotions that would take place July 1. Herb Johnson and Art Fossum would advance to assistant managers at Lynnwood. Ted T. Dombeck would become assistant manager at South Everett. All had been with the bank for several years.
Local graduates of American Legion Junior baseball organized into a baseball team known as the “Marysville Chiefs.” Under the direction of Norman Elsbree they would play independent teams in the area. Elsbree could be contacted at H&L Sports in Everett.
25 YEARS AGO (1985)
American Properties N.W. Inc. proudly announced that Peter S. Cattle was top sales agent for the month of May. Cattle, who specialized in residential and investment real estate, was raised in Mukilteo, was a graduate of Washington State University, and was an active member of the community.
The following students at Whitman College in Walla Walla graduated in May: Anthony Padilla and Jill Larson, Everett; Kevin Thomas, Granite Falls; Shannon Goodwin, Gold Bar; Darin Rice, Julia Pehrson and Shallyce Haverkamp, Lynnwood; Richard Burton and Wilma Merrill, Edmonds; John DeZee, Brier.
