Among those making plans for the First Congregational Church’s Harvest Turkey Dinner were Murah Moormeier, Ruthe Chapman and Ella Haug.
The Catholic 11s were to clash Wednesday evening at Everett Memorial Stadium. Perpetual Help Panthers included Vince Petosa, Lou Stevenson, Jim Kakalaciek, Jack Wynne, Earl Haug, Tom Layton, Rick Sorenson, Pat Crowley and John Cross. Immaculate Conception Blue Angels included Dick Brannon, Jim Shaffer, Mike Gregoire, Lloyd Brodniak, Danny Lindblom, Dennis English, Bob Hayes, Bill Shaddoff, Chuck Dempsey, David O’Connor and Bob Burger.
25 YEARS AGO (1984)
Auditions for the Snohomish Little Theater’s production of “A Christmas Carol” were being held in the Snohomish PUD meeting room, 807 Rainier St. Parts were available for eight women and seven men, ages 16 to 60. The play would have four to six performances in December.
Teresa Deck of Monroe, a member of the Hy Lo Washington state team, was to take part in the National Invitational 4-H Dairy Quiz bowl competition at the North American Dairy Show in Louisville, Ky. The Quiz Bowl was patterned after the College Quiz Bowl. Washington was the only state west of the Mississippi River taking part.
