50 YEARS AGO (1959)
Dwayne Lane and Glenn Trott stood in front of the new Lane Plymouth Center, which was holding its grand opening today at 2820 Rucker Ave. Trott was general supervisor of the new car department and Lane was operator and general manager. The new Plymouths for 1960 were on display.
Mr. and Mrs. W.M. Warrick were having an open house Sunday at their Marysville home in honor of their golden wedding anniversary. They were married in Bellingham and for 25 years he was superintendent of the Walton Lumber Co.
25 YEARS AGO (1984)
Harold and Eileen Fey returned last week from a trip to Europe that included celebrating their 42nd wedding anniversary in London. Prior to the trip, Dr. Fey attended the annual meeting of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons in New York
Ken Day, mayor of Stanwood, said that city officials apparently were on the right track in their preparations for the community’s future. Stanwood was promoting growth by finding solutions to flooding problems, advertising the community’s assets, evaluating annexation strategies and encouraging private and public investment.
