50 YEARS AGO (1959)
Treasure House, then at 2926 Colby Ave., had a Christmas joy ad thanking customers. The store hoped to continue to please customers with fine gifts they would be proud to own.
Vernon Clark was appointed publicity supervisor for West Coast Telephone Co. Clark was a native of Seattle and had previously worked as a staff writer for the Daily Journal of Commerce in Seattle.
25 YEARS AGO (1984)
Frontier Bank announced several managements promotions. James Felicetty was promoted to senior vice president and cashier at the bank’s administrative offices. James Ries was promoted to senior vice president, heading up the bank’s new real estate division. Lyle Ryan replaced Ries while being promoted to vice president and manager of the main office. Thomas Cave was promoted to vice president and manager at Arlington. Pieter Dobbins was a new vice president and manager. Patty Furiak was promoted to new accounts officer.
Barbie Homes offered the new Pinecone shell-erected three-bedroom home with a den and two baths. This winter warm-up special was only $28,950. Barbie homes was located at 1326 Fifth St. in Marysville.
