If you’re looking to conjure up some family entertainment along the lines of mystery, mirth and magic then consider entering the world of “Smoke and Mirrors.”
This magic show promises a mentalist to read your mind, some comedy magic, illusion and M.C. Tricky, a performer who combines rap with his magic during “PB&J Rap.”
Other acts include Jack Turk performing magic geared for kids, Bruce Meyers and his floating table, Aaron Wheeler performing a manipulation act, Fredrick Turner presenting Eastern-themed magic and Don Brisbane with his multiplying bottles.
“Smoke and Mirrors,” is presented by the Lynnwood Magic Club and you can check out their list of characters at www.nwringoffire.com.
“Smoke and Mirrors” is appropriate for kids in grade school and up, said magic club spokesman Keith Rozumalski.
All proceeds benefit the Everett-based Burned Children Recovery Foundation, which provides counseling and financial aid to burned children and their families.
Mentalist Philemon Vanderbeck makes predictions. But he said he’s doing his magic for more than a look into the future; he wants to support a good cause.
Vanderbeck is an award- winning performer and 2004 People’s Choice Magic Champion recipient.
“I’m excited about ‘Smoke and Mirrors’ because it’s a way for me to give back to the community using my magic skills,” Vanderbeck said.
