With the year’s spookiest holiday coming up on Sunday, community activities will kick into high gear this weekend.
Several Sno-Isle library branches will offer free events, starting with one from 7 to 10 tonight at the Lynnwood branch at 19200 44th Ave. W. There, guests will find a Haunted Teen Night with music, movies, a monster makeup session and a candy hunt.
Another Halloween party is planned for 2 p.m. Saturday at the Mukilteo branch, 4675 Harbour Pointe Blvd., featuring spooky stories, treats and monster-themed crafts. Costumes are encouraged. The Lynnwood branch also will offer a Halloween craft and activity session at 1 p.m. Sunday, again, with costumes encouraged.
Spooky Halloween stories and creepy noises will take center stage at 1 p.m. Saturday with Noiseguy Charlie Williams at the Mountlake Terrace branch, 23300 58th Ave. W.

“Halloween with the Lights On” will return to Everett’s Imagine Children’s Museum, at 1502 Wall St., from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday. Guests, who are encouraged to wear costumes, will be treated to live performances at 11:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. of “The 13 Nights of Halloween” story.
Ooey Gooey Potion and black light chalk art will be part of the fun. These activities are included with museum admission of $7.75 for those over age 1. For more details, call 425-258-1006.
