Sorticulture is sort of about art and sort of about gardens.
The annual garden arts festival is set for noon to 8 p.m. Friday and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at Legion Memorial Park, 145 Alverson Blvd., Everett. There’s no admission charge.
This year’s festival features more than 100 vendors selling art, plants and garden-related goodies. Find rustic furniture, trellises, birdhouses, sculpture, stepping stones and glass art. Speciality nurseries bring plants and their expertise.
Garden experts, including Ciscoe Morris, will talk plants, and bands will play live music.
Watch it all from inside the wine and beer garden.
Park for free at Everett Community College and ride Everett Transit to Legion Park. This year they’re charging 50 cents, but riders will receive an outdoor water conservation kit, while supplies last.
