Snohomish County Fire District 1 responded to 290 calls the week of July 16-22.

July 22

District 1 crews responded to 40 calls: 26 emergency medical aid calls, seven fires, one motor vehicle collision, two service calls, one carbon monoxide alarm, one natural gas leak and two fire alarms.

At 5:20 a.m., firefighters responded to a brush fire in the 22800 block of Lakeview Dr. in Mountlake Terrace.

At 2:28 p.m., a man was hit by a car on 124th St. SW just east of Meridian Avenue. He was transported by medics to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle.

July 21

District 1 crews responded to 37 calls: 24 emergency medical aid calls, four motor vehicle collisions, three fires, one service call and one fire alarm.

At 4:30 p.m., a fire was reported at a house in the 16000 block of 52nd Ave. W. Smoke was coming from the back of the house when firefighters arrived. No one was home at the time of the fire and no one was injured. Firefighters were able to contain the fire to a back wall of the single-story house and attic space above the dining room. Damage is estimated at $25,000. The Snohomish County Fire Marshal’s office determined a cigarette discarded in a flower box on the back patio stared the fire.

At 7:30 p.m., firefighters took two patients to Stevens Hospital after responding to a two-car collision at 164th St. SW and I-5.

July 20

District 1 crews responded to 39 calls: 28 emergency medical aid calls, four fires, three motor vehicle collisions, one service call and three fire alarms.

At 3:47 p.m., firefighters responded to a two-car collision on northbound I-5 north of 164th St. SW and took two patients to Providence Regional Medical Center Everett.

July 19

District 1 crews responded to 44 calls: 36 emergency medical aid calls, three fires, two motor vehicle collisions, one service call and two fire alarms.

At 3:24 p.m., firefighters responded to a two-car collision at 164th St SW and Larch Way and took five people to area hospitals.

At 7:08 p.m., firefighters took three patients to Providence Regional Medical Center Everett after responding to a two-car collision in the 16500 block of Highway 99.

July 18

District 1 crews responded to 45 calls: 34 emergency medical aid calls, four fires, three motor vehicle collisions, three fire alarms and one service call.

At 7:52 a.m., firefighters took one patient to Stevens Hospital after responding to a two-car head-on collision at 164th St. SW and North Road.

At 9:15 p.m., firefighters responded to a tree fire in the 22300 block of 64th Ave. W in Mountlake Terrace.

July 17

District 1 crews responded to 52 calls: 38 emergency medical aid calls, four motor vehicle collisions, seven fires and three service calls.

At 8:43 a.m., a car crashed into a ditch on southbound I-5 south of 164th St. SW. Firefighters took one patient to Stevens Hospital.

At 4:51 p.m., firefighters responded to a two-car collision at 18th Ave. W and Ash Way. No one was injured.
